About the Business

Mana Market is one of the Gold Coast's leading trading card game destinations. We serve collectors and players across Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Riftbound and more. Alongside our retail range of singles and sealed product, we run eBay consignment, PSA grading submissions, and regular in-store community events.

About the Role

We are looking for a casual retail team member to join our Ashmore store. You will report to our Store Manager and be part of a small, tight-knit team that keeps the shop floor running and our community coming back.

This is a genuinely flexible casual role. Hours will vary from week to week depending on trading periods, in-store events, and team availability. Some weeks might be several shifts, others just one. It suits someone who values flexibility and is happy to pick up shifts as they come.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Serving customers at the counter, including sales and general enquiries
• Handling cash and EFTPOS transactions accurately and in line with our cash handling policy
• Restocking shelves and keeping displays and the play area tidy and presentable
• Supporting in-store events when rostered, including set-up, pack-down, and player check-in
• Answering phone enquiries where possible during shifts

Skills and Experience

Essential:

• Friendly, confident customer service manner
• Strong attention to detail, especially with cash handling and transactions
• Comfortable working independently and staying productive during quiet periods
• Reliability and punctuality, with flexible availability including weekends
• You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident

Desirable:

• Previous retail or customer service experience
• Knowledge of trading card games such as Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, or Yu-Gi-Oh!
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems
• Involvement in the local TCG community, whether as a player, collector, or event regular
